Forecourt with the Software

Most developers working with petrol stations are already familiar with DOMS (PSS 5000), the leading forecourt controller on the market. A forecourt controller is a hardware device that automates the operations of a petrol station. It can connect to and control nearly any device currently found on forecourts. EmuPSS, the product described here, is the only existing pure software emulator of the DOMS controller.

More information on a separate page here.

PSS 5000 utilizes a proprietary TCP/IP protocol to connect with POS clients. To establish this connection, you will need interface components supplied by DOMS to its distributors. The component is a standard OCX component. One of the main challenges developers encounter when working with petrol stations is testing. Conducting tests on-site is not ideal as it disrupts the regular operation of the forecourt and can often render the station temporarily out of order. The software is developed using the .NET framework. Most of the essential functions of a petrol station are available in an emulator. The emulator has a user interface that appears on top of the Demo POS (provided by DOMS and used for testing its hardware).
